Intel I5 8600K build spec

hi all,
im planning a new build based around a 8600k cpu + 1060 6gig gpu
i will be going to oc the 8600k
ive wanted an intel cpu system for a fair few years but lack of funds always got in the way
will be used mostly for gaming, want to try PUBG and any newish games that catch my eye
wont be doing any video/photo editing

a few items i have and hope to re-use
case...Antec 900
sansung ssd 120 gig
1 TB HDD
samsung DVD super write master
Corsir CX 600 PSU ( not 100% sure if this will be good enough to re use )

will need a monitor. really dont know much about them as ive been using an old 17 inch flat screen given to me quite a few years ago,

Budget is roughly £1300

any and all advice is wellcome

8 core 16thread ryzen 2700x and 16GB . Rx 580 which matches gtx 1060 but Freesync monitors are cheaper ! 144hz 1080p with good colour .
Board comes with free 480GB SSD and farcry5 game before end of month.
Rx580 comes with 3 free games from AMD

thx orbitalwalsh for your post , definitely something to consider, a new psu would need 4 molex connectors for the 4 fans in my antec 900 case.
