Intel I7 9700k Firestrike Physics Score

Afternoon All,

Ive recently installed a i7 9700k with a RTX 2080, All games run great, when running Firestike Benchmark the Physics score is only 17,000. From research these should be 18,500 stock. all temps are below 80C, processor is reaching boost clocks of 4.8GHZ, XMP is enabled for ram to operate at 3200Mhz, Motherboard is running the latest bios.

Any ideas why we are not reaching 18,500?

Performs great, no it doesn't matter really, its just curiosity

Try using user bench mark it gives a good indication if it's operating as it should.

Fixed.

I've just tried this. Even thought it was in the green, the bench mark said it was underperforming ( this really wasn't seen in games). Found it was the power options set to "balanced ". Setting to high performance sorted it.

Very nice! Great CPU. was tempted by the 3600 and 3600x.
