Intel i9 chip

Lol, keep doing what your doing fornowagain, I think most of your work is top notch and totally relevant to the other dudes at the uBer high-end . . . however I'm watching you and when you start thinking of upgrading your house to accommodate your new cooling system I may have a quiet word in your ear heh! :p

Exciting times ahead with the gulftown, i really must learn how to multi-task heh! :p

I dunno about the price?

I remember back when Socket 939 was rocking people were happy to pay £300 for a Opteron 170 (dual Core) so the way things have gone now with huge price tags becoming common again with the latest hardware I would guess for a six core/12 threaded Gulftown we are looking at

£500

to

£900 :p

1nm = 10 Angstroms. Atomic radii are typically in the region of, what, around 1-2 Angstroms (off the top of my head, I could be a bit off there).

No problems for the electrons, but definitely some nasty quantum-mechanical effects at that kind of scale!

I'm still on an athlon 4800+ 939 system (2 GB of DDR1...).
Very much looking at i7 for now, though. The upgrade has to come soon, and i5 seems too far off at this point. With that said, I might be able to wait for the DX11 cards, so maybe i5 is going to be okay for me. But... Damn! Those 920s overclock so nicely! :)

I'm still on 3200+ 512 ram 939 system!!! And yes I am going to upgrade, just abit confused. Don't know what to go for either i5 or i7 :S

That Gulftown CPU sure does look like it's going to be a really fast chip, and it's on my list of things to buy when building my new high-end computer next year.
