Not really sure if this should be in cpu, motherboard or storage forums but here goes.

Currently at work im running a Asus Z68 board with a 1 tb hdd and a 40gb intel ssd for a cache drive, which works great, anyway Ive got myself a gigabyte z77x-ud5h for home as im waiting for IB to be released i bought a celeron s1155 cpu to get me by for a couple of weeks. I thought id "borrow" the i5 2500k from my work pc and pop in the celeron :)

When ive done that it boots fine but during boot when you see the raid section it shows my hdd and ssd but says in red next to both drive incompatible, as soon as I put the i5 back in it was fine.

So my question is I guess can celerons not do ISRT? As i thought it was a chipset feature and not a cpu feature.

I think i just answered my own question, looked at the requirements on intels site appears it says intel core processors are required and im presuming this excludes pentium and celerons....

Doh!
