Hi,

Can anybody please explain the Intel Maxtrix Raid setup to me?

What does it do? How does it work? Hardware required?

Thanks
Nick

Basically, it means you can have RAID 1 and RAID 0 on the same set of hard drives. So say you had 2x500GB drives, and you created a 250GB RAID 1 array, you could then create a 500GB RAID 0 array.

Your sig is too big. It can only be a maximum on 4 lines.

I.E

Antec P182 / Corsair HX520
Asus P5K Premium/ Q6600
Corsair 2x1GB / 2x Samsung T1 500GB
EVGA 8800GT

Your sig still looks the same. You need atleast 2 hard drives for intel matrix raid. A slight note, because the RAID 1 and RAID 0 arrays will be on the same hard drive, there will be a performance hit when reading/writing both RAID 1 and 0 at the same time (compared to a RAID 0 array).
