At work everything is blocked. I'm suppose to have full open access bypassing the systems in place but it never has happened. I'm now board of asking and showing for it to be done.

My current get around is to use TOR but this is only for web stuff. I now need to have something covering everything

Idea is i have my feed into said magic box then that into a switch

I've a spare Intel NUC that i could use.

Any ideas?

I would also check your acceptable usage policy at work. Although they have said you should have open access do you have it in writing? If not they really could sack you on the spot for internet/network abuse. Best to keep hassling them for it. If they dont get it sorted tell them that it is impeding you work and unless they get it sorted your productivity will be down.

My advice would be to persevere with getting it sorted officially rather than trying to circumvent the security.

This, don't start trying to beat the system as it's almost certainly in breach of your IT policy whether you're supposed to have full access or not.

The ''IT'' guy is going. Both directors know of the issues and have said do what ever to get around it.

I've asked said IT guy and my boss has asked him. My boss has also back what the D's have said.

There is no IT rule here, nothing in contract or signed.

I need something i can plug in the internet feed i have and then the box does it all.

I did look at using a raspberry pi setup as a tor client
