INTEL OWNERS what cpu do you have and at what clock/vcore

every chip oc's differently mate.

set the cpu multiplier to x40 then keep your vcore at stock and then do a stress test if it fails u will need to up the vcore a notch then test again. keep your eye on the temps also.

but tbh it should be stable on stock vcore for 4ghz
 
Just switched from a 2500k to a 3570k because I got a pretty good deal.

I've got the 3570k running @ 4.6 1.34v at the mo but it's getting a bit toasty under load (80, 82, 86, 90 across the 4 cores). I think I'll save the 4.6 profile for the winter months and clock it to 4.4 for the rest of the time. The temps are in the low 70's @ 4.4ghz.

For the record, I used an ASRock Z68 Ext4 Gen3 for the 2500k and 3570k and cooled them both with the NH-D14.

Both processors needed a fair few volts to get even average overclocks. A limitation of the motherboard perhaps?
 
Currently running i7 930 @ 4Ghz day to day, it's also the highest I have managed to get it without really messing with voltages so I am happy with that (voltages are at stock I think). Under load from Prime I think it doesn't hit much more than about 65 degrees Celsius give or take a bit, it's been a while since I did any benchmarking on it. Cooler is a Antec Khuler 920 in push/pull with a GTX480 in a Antec 1200 case.

Cheers Gareth il give it a test run, only ever clocked one cpu the Q6600 years ago an couldn't remember the multiplier clocks :) cheers for the info.
 
Now that I'm on water got my 3930K @4.8ghz on 1.35V, temps around 70C under prime95. Best chip I've ever owned (it should be for the price :p). I feel really smug looking at how Ivy Bridge turned out though. :D
 
i5 750 4.1GHz 1.25v

It's been running at that for a couple of years 24/7. Absolutely solid as a rock.

Rodrigox; you can probably push further. Most 750's will hit at least 4GHz

i5 2500K @4.7GHz - 1.35v w' Kuhler 620 Push pull keeping it under 65*C after prime blend for 12 hours.
 
2009 is calling; Two year old i7 860 (2.8GHz) is now 3.7GHz, for the past month. Got some life left in her yet! 1.32v. Idle @ 37c, can't remember prime95 temps... Less than 70c in GTA IV, on my hyper212+
