Hi

Cpu First

E2180 or E7200 is the extra £40 worth while, will be overclocking.
and would the artic pro 7 cooler suffice.

Motherboard X38 or X48 , need this as i will run ATI Cross fire one day in the life of this rig. Would the extra £'s spent on the X48 be worth while, thinking of the J&W when it arrives.

Memory or over clocking should i look for 2x2 gb DDR2 or 4x1 gb, and again should i stretch the budget to 8500 over 6400.

anyone have comments regarding the Antec 300 case, for £40 looks ok to me.

as u can see from the above I am on a tight budget, but as most people do trying to get best bang per pound possible.

Thanks

cpu:
yes
yes, but it gets noisy at top fan settings

mobo:
I dont really know, on a budget I'd probably say not.

memory:
2x2
6400 should be okay unless you're doing quite a big overclock- 400mhz fsb 1:1 ratio gives 3.8ghz on this chip, after then you'd need faster RAM (or to overclock your pc6400)

Case:
The antec 300 is meant to be pretty good on a budget, but don't expect amazing temps
