Intel® Core™2 Duo E8190

Not according to a lot of websites, one of which i quoted above. So if there is going to be a 7000 series that means there will be two lots, T series for mobile and E series for desktop. That may catch a few people out.

Yeah there will 2 lots. the same as we have already with the T8xxx/E8xxx and T9xxx/Q9xxx.

Hey guys thought i'd reopen this thread as ive just seen e7200 listed elsewhere on preorder 1066 fsb running at 2.53ghz meaning a 9.5 multi.

Yeah I have seen the E7200 Wolfdale mentioned about, 1066MHz-FSB with a 9.5 multi could be nice if the chip doesn't have a crippling FSB wall, I also see it has 3MB cache?

The upcoming E8300 is looking like a good buy. 2.83Ghz, 8.5x multi, 6mb cache and all the same features as the E82/84/8500's. The best thing is it is cheaper than the E8200 at £112. Due around 3rd week of April.

E7200 does'nt seem worth it for £92. The thing is, Intel has so many cpu's now all priced a few quid apart. Anyone building their first rig needs to really think about which to go for before clicking buy or they could end up having something completely different to what they were expecting.
