Do you guys use this? I heard it was for RAID setups and apparantly it improves performance (in what way I do not know). I'm planning to make a RAID 0 setup right now with my SSDs. Should I install this?

You will need to have your BIOS set to 'RAID' before you install Windows. You can tweak it afterwards if you want to use an existing installation(Google is your friend).

Once you're in RAID mode, the software in Windows basically talks to the RAID controller on your motherboard.

I use a Z68 board with RAID1 750GB hard drives with an SSD Cache. Works nicely and doesn't have weird consistency issues that other add-in caching technology can have (Nvelo based solutions).

rst isn't needed but it usually improves speeds slightly over the standard Microsoft drivers

that's whether using raid/non raid

You need to install RST if you are creating an array with SSDs and want TRIM support. Without it, there's no way for the OS to pass the TRIM command to the SSD controllers.

If you are using SSDs, you want TRIM support.
