Intel RST 10 Drivers

I have found them to decrease performance, at least in benchmarks anyway. As for how I feel about the performance change. I can tell no difference with or without them, so I will just leave them on for now but won't bother installing them on my next format.

Perhaps it's because I have on P35 mobo?

It's possible that they are optimised for ICH10(R) and ICH9(R) or earlier chipsets don't perform as well with them. It's also possible that it just depends on your configuration - either way, testing is the only way to know for sure.

A lot of people have problems with the Vertex 2 causing BSODs when returning from S3 sleep (just google for something like "ocz vertex bsod sleep" to see all the complaints).

For myself and many others the RST 10 drivers fixed this but apparently not for everyone. I have a P45 ICH10R chipset.

AMD chipset drivers should cover it I think, as they're usually comprehensive.

The Intel RST drivers allow you to enable Write Back Caching which makes a massive difference, at least in benchmarks.

Write Back Caching

Though I think I need to do some garbage collecting as the reads as poor.
