Good Afternoon

Forgive me if i leave details out, i am doing this from memory in work constantly minimising! :-)

I am having a trouble with the Intel RST (Rapid Storage Tech) driver telling me with a big yellow triangle i have an incompatable array.

MB = Gigabyte Gaming 7 Board

SSD's = 2 x Samsung 840 EVO SATA - RAID 0 (Gaming Storage)

PCI-e SSD - M2 Slot - Plextor M6e 512Gb (As main Drive)

I have rebuilt the array a few times with the same error, re-installed windows...always secure erasing the samsungs and once SE all the drives started from fresh. Same error

First boot fine, then next boot, shows Incompatable array.

Go to bios to see the setting, boot to win, shows fine. Reboot. show Incompatable.

Nothing really wrong with the system. Drives run at over 1000MBs Read just dont like the big yellow triangle in the corner saying it is wrong! :-)

Anyone else had this issue?

(PS Tried lots of BIOS's usiing F7i now)

Only thing i havent tried is not use the Plextor drive as my main and run the raid array on its own as that is not what i planned for the system!

Also bought a PCI-e adapter card for the M2 drive to take it away from the M2 card slot. Still the same.

Many Thanks

Matt

Hi

I have only built it the array in the BIOS.

and Yes i have reset it in BIOS, i reset it in BIOS, Security erases the drives, then built the array in BIOS and installed windows, also installed windows then did all the above steps!

Tried all ways i think! Run out of ideas......

Thanks for the replies.
I have no issues with drives, just dont like the system telling me that its incompatible!
I know i can run without the RST drivers, just the gigabyte MB utility keeps asking me to install it and any help/boost i will take from drivers! :-)

I like the GB utility software as i can go straight to BIOS with it rather than go through 15 different screens on win8.1 to go to the bios as I got fast boot on as i like the system booting like it come out of standby! :-)

Cheers

I found out by chance how to get rid of the incompatible array. In bios, Set Priority for boot, i disabled it on my motherboard, get a tick everytime on my RST drivers now. It was set for my pci-e SSD as standard. takes a wee smidgin more for boot ( like .25 a sec) so im not worried!
