Im trying to find the highest OC on minimum Vcore, but when I set the Vcore to manual (1.3v in this case), whether its at 1.6GHz or 4.5GHz, its still at 1.3v, whereas if I have Vcore to Auto, it will drop down to around 1.0V.

Board is Asus P8P67 Pro board on latest BIOS (2013 or something).
Anyone have any ideas?

Think you need to use offset rather than manual vcore to allow the vcore to vary depending on multi. Be worth going through some of the guides before you start to make sure you don't end up frying something.

Agree with above, you have to use offset for the intel speed step to work, at least on Asus boards. But at 4.5Ghz on mine, I can't use offset because the volatge shoots up to 1.45v even when using " - " offset.

Well Ive been having a tinker and can get [email protected] with RAM [email protected] with offset -

Now if I go manually I can get [email protected] with RAM [email protected] (havent tried lowering this yet).

Ive read every OC guide I can find that isnt a wall of words (I like pictures), so I think once I fully understand this, Im going to do a picture guide for the Asus boards (with EFEIEIEIEIEIEI BIOS)....much simpler.

Will report back in a moment.

try dropping the llc level when using offset
