Intel ssd performance

I have a intel Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB hard drive and have been looking at the performance of other peoples intel x25 80gb drives and mine seems slower than most. I have just updated the firmware and its gone up but not as much as i've seen other x25 drives.

Before the firmware upgrade.

After Upgrade

Is there anything els i can do to boost the performance.

How much have you on the SSD?

Is "write caching" enabled in Device Manager?

I have write caching enabled in Device Manager and have used 32gb out of the 80gb.

Hmm, what motherboard have you got? Older boards and Laptops don't perform as well as newer ones.

I have the drive in a Asus G73jh Gaming laptop.

Even though that's a pretty modern Laptop, I'd say It's at fault. Mobile chipsets are often underclocked or using other power management features that can limit performance.
Only way to know for sure is to stick the drive in a desktop board.

Would certainly go along with this as being the most likely cause off you lowish SSD performance...
