Hi, i have a nice new intel 80gb SSD, but im not sure exactly how to set it up completely for the best performance. So far all i have done is configure SATA as AHCI in the bios. I think the next step is for me to update the firmware, but first i have a few questions:

1) I have the Intel SSD Toolbox, and it says the Model Number is "INTEL SSDSA2M080G2GC" I assume this is a gen2 34nm drive and i am ok to use the SSD Opimizer tool in the toolbox?
2) I assume also this means the firmware update will work for my drive?
3) Is there anything else i need to do in the bios or in windows before i update the firmware, and is there anything i need to be careful of whilst doing so? Im not worried about losing data as i have nothing important because the whole system is brand new.

Thanks,
Will

1) Yes it is Gen2 and it will work fine with SSD Optimizer though you don't need to run that program if you're using W7.

2) Yes it will work fine but you might need to use IDE mode for the flashing process

3) Just what i said about the IDE mode above, you should'nt lose any data when flashing.
