Intel X-25 G2 SSD format

Trying to format this on my laptop using hdderase 3.3 no drives are showing as connected, it just says

P0 is NONE
P1 is NONE

just stays on that screen, anyone got any ideas? thanks

You have to set IDE mode in your BIOS before using HDDErase. Otherwise the program won't identify your drives.

Just tried that and it still does the same

Ive tried versions 3.3 and 3.1 of hdderase

Try switching between Legacy and Native IDE mode in your BIOS ( Integrated Peripherals -> SATA Port 0-3 Native mode ). I remember that only one mode works with HDDErase but I don't remember which one.

My laptop doesnt have that option in the bios

Ive given up, I just put it in my PC as a slave drive and formatted it in Windows and sold the SSD!

You gave up too easily surely? why not just erase it in your dsktop machine and then transfer it over? too late now I suppose.
