Hey, I currently own the above, i am very happy with it but i need a bigger disk, i have seen another one for sale for around 80 pounds, i purchased mine from ocuk about a year ago for 160. Is it worth putting this on a raid for extra capacity and speed or shall i spend 100 more and get a newer drive?

thanks

Go for it, it's what I did. You won't see much of a speedup in general use but that's more a factor of Storage no longer being a bottleneck than any lack of speed. A newer generation drive certainly won't feel any quicker that two x25-m's in RAID0 despite the lack of TRIM, and won't be worth the extra expense.

Thanks, i will let you know how it goes. I have seen videos on youtube and loading programs and games seems very fast.

I have been thinking about this as I have the same drive and could do with a bit more space, but i cant get another Intel X25-M 80GB.
Trim would'nt bother me, as I would just wipe them from time to time.

Let us know if you do itN43SP33D
