I wanted to reformat my SSD so I could install a clean copy of Windows 7 Pro. I tried to reformat, but the Windows installer gave an error along the lines of 'unsupported NTFS format'. I then deleted the partition and then tried to reformat, but Windows won't let me do that either, it says 'Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition'.

Any ideas on how to fix? :(

i had the same issue, had to disconnect all other storage (sata/ide/usb) so only the ssd was connected and then the install worked fine.

Thanks, I'll give it a try :)
I recently flashed my BIOS to update it and found really dodgy settings, so I'll see how it goes with the correct ones :)
