i think its 8x8x pci-e3 though which would be quicker or just as quick as 16x16x pci-e2? not sure,but i dont think either would have a huge advantage/disadvantage

That pci layout is terrible + only 6 pci slots? Hopefully more vendors adopt a sensible layout like z68.
