Intels 28 core

They are nice, what I do not like is that AMD Ryzen Threadripper is not present there.

You can't overclock the **** off a Threadripper, and apparently "extreme" systems are garish LEDs, obnoxious branding and Intel exclusivity. Don't get me wrong, I love me some LEDs but as an artist and designer these monstrosities really set my aesthetic teeth on edge.

Also bear in mind that these systems are intended (IMO) for e-peen children with more money than brains who just want to throw money at the very top spec because they think it's "the best" but don't have the knowledge to build anything themselves. Why else would a record-breaking overclocker of 8 Pack's stature put his name to a system that has 4 Titan XPs in it when anybody with half a brain knows SLI is dead, especially past 2 cards? Workstation users who would use 4 Titans for compute wouldn't buy an 8 Pack Orion.

Hopefully with Zen 2 we'll see a shift towards including AMD in the "extreme" crowd.

will the 28core cpu be sufficient for:

1 gpu
1 sound card
1 wifi adapter
1 m.2
2 SSDs
4 HDDs

then i have

All RGB Corsair:

Keyboard
mouse
usb led headstand
usb led mouse mat
usb commander pro
usb 2x LED corsair controller boxes
Xbox controller
Apogee Groove DAC
USB Head set
, not always used
2 portable HDDs 4tb each

coz £2000 for a 28 core cpu seems ok if you compare the extreme cpu prices right now....

The intel 28 core will be easily north of £2000. Similarly its not at all ideal for what will be a gaming build based on your other thread. This is an entire diffrent category cpu to what you will want in a gaming rig, i.e mainstream CPUs from intel or AMD.

Gibbo has confirmed above that it will be north of £3500... (depending on FX rates).

As a direct comparison the 32 core TR 2990WX is <£1600

As a note for the system you are considering a 2700x or 9900K based build would be a better starting point.
