Intensive driving courses

JAE just becomes a blur for me. It goes like this:

Friday: Arrive, set up tent, eat BBQ and get drunk. Walk round till early hours of the morning harrassing other clubs.

Saturday: Recover from last nights heavy drinking session. Maybe look at a car or 2.

BBQ.

Drunk.



Sunday: Recover, pack-up, go home.

Awesome weekend :D

Sorry for still dragging this OT ;)

I havent ever been before :o but from what I can gather, same is happening with 100nx oc should be a good laugh at least ;) - I take it, that it is :)

edit: Its only around 40 miles from me, straight down the A47 \o/
 
You are in for a treat mate. TBH the actual car-show is just a side-interest, JAE is all about the drunken tomfoolery :D

I didnt take an intensive driving course.
And i hate driving.

I'm going for a day out in a wagon for a perspective new employer that has come about in the most bizarre circumstances.

Long story short, IF all goes to plan this sunday i will be undertaking an intensive C+E driving course, and driving Tankers.

I hate driving :confused:

Its the same amount of hours though, just compressed into a shorter space of time.

I personally went with normal lessons but I wish I did an intensive course, would have passed a lot quicker.
 
I know this is a small sample, but all the people that passed first time in my school are pretty naff drivers.
1 wrote his car off on a country road after a month. it took him 3 months to pass.
the other has had numerous parking scrapes and has done a 180 in the rain.
another wrote his car off trying to be cool at a roundabout
another skid his car and made a dent on the side, put it down to "aquaplane", if it was raining, you shouldnt be driving that fast sunshine!

how is 30 hours in a week different from 30 hours over 3 months>
 
I basically did an intensive course, but it wasn't an official intensive course. I chose to have 15 lessons over three weeks, then did my test about 4 days after my final lesson. It worked really well for me :)

Anyone got any ideas on how much it is? I have found a place near me that does it , but doesnt give any prices on the webby :rolleyes:

Also DreXeL OT again, Ive just seen a plan of where the clubs are going to be etc, who you going with? :)

If you seen the plans: we are going to be near GTO UK and some others I cant remember off hand :o
 
I also did it 'semi-intensive' had about 26 hours over 3 weeks, it was great because I didnt get knackered and had some days off but also didnt have any long gaps between lessons.
 
I went on a "defensive driving" course not long after getting my Class 1 licence, it was very helpful and told me a few tricks I'd never have considered.

You can never get too much tuition when it comes to driving.
