Zokora is one of those players whose contribution is hard to see on TV. When Spurs push forward, he's the one filling in the gaps at the back. He's very quick and works hard for 90 minutes. He's also filled in well at CB. All he needs to do is cut out the reckless challenges and he'll be a very decent DM.

I feel sorry for Kaboul. He was obviously bought as a player for the future but he got dumped straight into the first team due to injuries. I'd give him at least a couple of years to see if he comes good.

Chimbonda and Robinson both need to go though. Chimbonda's attitude stinks and Robinson isn't good enough.

I don't think Spurs need wholesale changes. What Spurs need is the signing of two or three really top class players. Spurs were only a dodgy lasagne away from a Champions League spot when the likes of Lee Young Pyo, Paul Stalteri, Andy Reid and Mido were first team regulars.

Oh well, our season is over now. We can give us fringe players a run out for the rest of the season.
 
Zokora cannot pass, tackle, shoot and his contribution is lacking compared to the better DM's in the Premiership. If Spurs really want to compete with the better clubs they'll need a much better DM as teams like Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Portsmouth all have much better DM's at their disposal.
 
When he played at CB and his tackling was fine. He's got cut out the reckless challenges but he's also made some superb tackles this season.

He's never going to be the type of player to pick passes from 50 yards like Huddlestone or Carrick but he knows this and keeps his passing simple. I don't have any stats but I'm sure his pass completition rate is just as good as most Premiership midfielders.

And so what if he can't shoot? How many goals has Makelele scored in his career? 0 at Real Madrid and 2 at Chelsea?

Would I say no to a top quality defensive midfielder? Of course not. Zokora isn't as bad as people who've only seen him on TV make out though.
 
The good thing about Zokora is that he can be play defence and midfield and thats what we need with such injury prone defenders.

In the summer Ramos will have a chance to get in some of the players he wants, lets wait until the start of the season :)
 
Zokora is underrated sure he is not the best player technically and his shooting is poor but he can tackle and his passing isn't that bad

i feel bad saying this as he gives 110% every time but if we want to challenge the top 4 we need someone better :(
 
Rangers have got an excellent chance of progressing to the last 8 tonight. We've conceeded 4 goals in our last 13 games (including Europe), and although Bremen away will be harder than these 13 I think there's a good chance we'll progress.
Some fans want us to go out so we can concentrate on the league. I don't agree - I think the players would rather be playing every Wednesday and Saturday than training, and I think our squad is good enough to cope with four competitions.
 
Rangers are getting horsed in every department, but crucially have made it to half time without letting one in. If the second half goes the same way then I can't help but wonder how costly McCulloch's miss in the last game will prove to be.
 
Rangers got the result needed. VERY defensive (we actually had 5 / 6 natural centre backs on the pitch at the start), but that's all it needed to be. As long as we continue to nick the occasional flukey goal and stay tight at the back we could go far.

To any managers in the premiership looking in on this thread, Cuellar is crap and McGregor is garbage, nothing to see here, move along. :D

Gotta love him, gotta love our team! 2:1 aggregate! :D We're through! Now do we take leverkusen to give us a Hat Trick of wins vs German teams this season?! In all honesty i have a feeling we'll get Zenit! ONly thing im raging about this season is the ammount iv paid on top of my season ticket for all these extra games lol!
