Interested in looking at VR to game with my young twins

Christ no for kids. The movement is wrong for them, and there's a lot of kids running around swearing and slurring. Worse still is the potential for grooming, I reported someone for suspected grooming.

EDIT - It can be a hilariously fun game to play with a good lobby, but I'd not risk my son in any public lobby.

I've no idea. I don't make a habit of measuring 4 year olds IPDs. She may look like Admiral Ackbar

I know it looks out of focus when I move the lenses to the wrong settings, and they are only a few mm off.

For a 4 year old even the lowest setting will be way off, unless they have a freakishly big head, and they won't be old enough to know better. I certainly wouldn't let my 4 year old niece use mine for fear of it messing with her eye development.
