Interesting BBC article..

I recently did it for a week while I was moving house. Was a tough time ;) at least I had packing n stuff to keep me occupied though - dunno how I'd cope just sat at home watching the carp on tv.

Going cold turkey....? No way. Not for me.

I'd be OK for a while as long as I had my guitar, but just spending the time sitting in front of the telly watching episodes of Emmerdale Farm would drive me absolutely nuts. I wouldnae be able to cope.

I do plenty of stuff, and am far from addicted to the internet. But to go for 3 days without? No way. Far easier reading newspapers online.

When I moved house the phone line was not conneced so I needed to get BT in to connect it before I could even think about 'net access. But when BT looked into it there was some other work needed first further back in the phone system first (as it was on a new road) ... hence it took 6 weeks to get a working phone line ...and then about another 7-10 days to get broadband activated on the line ... so best part of 2 months without normal access or even dialup.

Did have minimal access to email through work but was too busy to just browse and keep up with things.

I go on holiday each year over the summer for about 4 weeks,

The house I stay in has no internet, no TV and no phone. Mobile reception is patchy at best.

It is the most blissful time of my entire year!

3 days without the net? Easy.
