Myself and one other mate are currently doing our A-levels and were given the oppertunity to do an "Extended Project".
Of course we chose something computer related!
We can do anything we want, as long as it answers a question.
Our idea then was as follows:
"Can you build a computer for X (smaller than or equal to £100) amount of money which will perform X amount of tasks" or something along those lines!
We want to build a cheap computer out of old, previously used parts which will run a select number of tasks, such as a game at a certain FPS or a video encoded in a certain amount of time etc.
Just need to fill in those X's!
Good Idea? Any idea's about parts we could use? How old? Benches we could run on the crappy system? Any and all idea's would be appricated!
