Interesting stuff to do around Coventry?

A couple of mates are having a bash in Coventry this weekend and I'd like to go. Thing is, it's Coventry which is a hard sell on the wife so I need something to entice her.

Anything interesting to do around there? About an hour's drive?

I'm going to leave the dos / don'ts a bit vague for now in case someone posts a curve ball which sounds good.

No shopping though

Been there, was quite interesting actually.

Drayton Manor Park. The Apocalypse is terrifying.

If you're on the town in Cov, get your kebab from Express Diner - I almost lived off those bad boys when I was a student there. Served on a naan, rather than a crappy pitta. Their chicken fillet burger is pretty great too.

Coventry motor museum is good & free, there's also an exibition of childrens TV on at the Herbert museum at the moment which again is also free.

Drayton Manor looks good actually. Would be good on Sunday to shake a hangover too, except that it'll be crawling with mini humans due to the school shizzle.

Drayton Manor, and Apocalypse is awesome. It's near Tamworth though, about 30 mins from Coventry

There is literally nothing in Coventry even worth considering, though the last time I was there they did have some hot chicks in the strip club but then again I fell asleep and got kicked out so maybe that was just all the beer.

The motor museum has Thrust SSC in it, and a full size K-nex model of Bloodhound SSC, reason there on its own.

Mini humans don't got to school on Sundays usually so if anything surely it will be quieter than a usual weekend as people will be on holiday?
