Intermitent 360 3 RLOD.

Sometimes when I turn my 360 on it straight away gets the 3 red lights but sometimes it turns on and works a few minutes before it just locks up and becomes unresponsive (without 3 red lights). Other times it will work for over an hour without fault. Will I have a problem if I send the 360 back to be repaired and they seemingly find nothing wrong with it? I have a photo on my phone of it with the 3 red lights but I'm not really sure if that's good enough proof if they needed it.

Anyone been in a similar situation?

I'm sure that if you explain the problem to MS support they'll agree to fix it. It'll take around 30 days to get it done atm but that's better than the thing sitting there doing nothing.

I assume it's older than a year? If not, just take it back to the retailer....

Do yo get red artifacts all over the screen when it locks up by any chance??

Mine started doing that and giving the 3 RLOD yesterday and when I phoned microsoft support they said they will replace it. Kinda gutted today though when I read that its taking around 30 days to be replaced, was really getting into forza online

Don't worry, I had the same problem when I first sent my box back. It red lighted once, but most times it just kep freezing, and other times it worked fine.

Basically its unusable right? Well then it has to go back, and they wotn have a problem. And tbh they will open it up and see that the "fix" has not been made to yours and they will do it. You wont have any probs!

Jusdt expect a long wait to get it back, mine has just come back for the second time after 22 working days (23 including the day I sent it off

So if I was to buy one in a couple of months time. Would it be one of the "solved ones"? but if I did get this Red Ring of Death lol, I could just take it back to the shop if it was within a certain time?

Get an elite if you are gonna buy in a few months, they should have the "fix" but people in the states have still got the red rings with them, but not nearly as much as the current ones
