Just when everything is hunky dory.

Just now i put on Sleeping Dogs. It loads up but then i notice ingame the screen is a little bit jittery with faint kinda lines...not solid lines but maybe the kind of lines you would see if the signal wasnt holding the image strong enough or something.

It happened in The Witcher as well (just thought it was drivers)

But this time in Sleeping Dogs the screen goes black and im getting no display so have to restart pc.

Im using a vga cable with a dvi adapter connected to the dvi slot on the graphics card. Maybe its this which cause problem?

Here is the voltages and temps (which seem fine)

Will start up Sleeping dogs now and see if it does it again.

What resolution are you gaming at?

1440x900 (monitor maximum and native)

here is another pic of cpuid just after coming out of sleeping dogs. It didnt crash this time but the sorta flickery lines were there very hard to see in screenshots lol

very surprised that the gpu got up to 84 degrees hrmm...

here is pics ive tried to capture of the flickery lines on my camera (it doesnt seem to show up when i take a SS in game)

Can you see them?

I would definitely get a new monitor, having a 7970 and then using vga monitor is almost criminal. You will notice a far superior picture and game at a higher res, what are you thinking of getting ?
