I have put up with this problem for some time now, and it is time to get it fixed.

The problem is as such: while playing online games, about every 30 seconds or so there will be a pause, as if something has stopped responding on my home network.

I am sure it does not last more than a fraction of a second, but in-game the result is a pause of a couple of seconds while it re-syncs. It is most noticeable in FPS games such as F.E.A.R, and I am getting tired of getting fragged as a result of it.

Now, like I said, this has been happening for some time. At my previous flat where I was using a belkin router and my ISP was Homechoice. I moved a couple of months ago and am now using Sky as my ISP and the router they provide - a netgear, I think.

I think the only common denominator through all this is my wireless PCI card. It happens on Vista and XP.

Is it possible that it is a fault with my wireless card, or is it possible there is something else I can try to fix it.

Note: I am not at pc now, as at work, but suggestions most welcome. I would like to keep forking out for a new wireless adapter til last.
