hi
ive been looking at the internal aerials that you plug in to the mains for a boost. the problem ive got is i have no external aerial and if i decide to dump virgin and go back to the 5 channels with a freeview box i wont get a picture.

so has anyone got one and are they any good. ive seen them for £16 pounds

cheers

Edit, just re-read your post, you want an internal aerial, not just the booster.

Not a patch on an external aerial. I had one feeding my bedroom TV before I had the external aerial and cabling replaced. It was a massive improvement and I now get all the freeview channels where before I only got about half and radio was intermittent.

it depends on your area, your house and the aerial. I'm in a downstairs room and I have one aerial with quite a short cable which is ok. However if I turn my computer on (very close to the tv) the signal degrades quite a lot.

So I tried a different one which has a much longer cable so I could move it away from the computer, and it works much better. Without a signal booster it worked pretty well with just a couple of channels missing, and with a signal booster I could get all the freeview channels. The aerial is a flat one which is supposed to pick up signal from all round so that you don't have to position it. I can't name the shop that sells it here but it's a well known electric goods shop. I do still find that the angle is very important though

i think its an aerial with a booster which plugs into the mains i think ( didnt really have that good a look at it ) . ive also got freeview usb stick with a pathetic aerial which woudnt pick up flu . i could try it in that but its a bit of a waste of dosh if its rubish.

cheers
