Hi,
Due to lack of space in my current PC case, I decided to go out and purchase a slightly larger one. There was an Alienware Aurora R4 for sale, so I dip my hand in my pocket and got it (second hand). Being a muppet, I have now found that certain Alienware cables do not fit into my existing mobo (asus M5A7BL-M Plus/usb3). Does anyone know if there are convertor cables and/or extension cables for fans and if there is a way in which the LED's can be connected to the above mobo). As you can tell, I am new to this game of converting from one type of cables to another. I'm afraid that I don't even know what the correct terminology is for the type of cables, so sorry in advance
Cheers

Alienware/Dell use a lot of proprietary stuff in their machines. Non standard cabling is pretty much to be expected.

I found a manual for the R4 which may be of some use https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/.../alienware-aurora-r4_owner's manual_en-us.pdf

The connections on the motherboard look normal but the "master I/O board" (which isn't something you'll even find on a standard ATX PC) has many connectors you won't find outside Dell.

Short story, I'm afraid you're probably out of luck....
