Hi guys,

I need to stick a camera in my loft. I have wifi there, and mains 240v power, and I could even wire it to ethernet although wifi would be easier.

Needs to have motion detection that alerts my phone and one that I can watch it through my phone, like a video doorbell without being a doorbell, ideally good low light vision as well.

Basically so I can remotely monitor anyone getting into my loft, shout at them and tell them the police are coming etc.

No subscriptions.

Thanks in advance.

No idea if this is helpful but seeing such a similar thread hurt my brain so now you're getting a link x

No suggestions, just intrigued how someone would get in your loft without you being worried about the rest of your house?

Reolink 4MP Indoor Security Camera, 2.4G/5GHz Dual-Band WiFi, Pan Tilt Indoor WiFi Pet Camera, Baby Monitor, 2-Way Audio, IR Night Vision, Remote Viewing, Motion Detection Push Alerts, E1 Pro

This one any good?

At a guess it is what he is storing in the loft, which is already too much of a hint really :s
Ah fair enough, the old man has only ever stored his in the house on the farm. Surely you get rust issues with the damp of the loft even with oiling?

A Blink Camera would do this.
You have a link ?

I am actually looking for something similar for our office. Our office is in a building which is meant to be locked when we ain't there. But we suspect people have been coming to our area and using the kettle and sofas. So want to be able to see via motion detection if somebody is and who ?

Would be helpful i guess if it recorded too, in case none of us are with out phones.

Careful you might get more than you bargained for :s

No, "they" are in a safe that is resaonably insulated and I have a low wattage heater in there, it keeps it just warm enough so the damp doesnt get to "them".

I went for the Reolink 4k one in the end, there was a 15% off thing so I got that and an SD card for it for just under £60.

I use ezviz doorbell and also outdoor camera. Camera doesn't have motion detection, but I'm 99% sure they have some that do, internal ones almost certainly. Both have small LEDs for night vision and are good quality. Both use SD card storage, that rewrites over the oldest files as new ones fill, I can view live over my phone at any time (and go over old video/alerts). Camera I have to constantly record, so I think it rewrites every 4-5 days or so.

I would have said the Tapo TC70 for £21 would have done what you needed, but I see you've already bought the Reolink one.
