Internet brower

I use FF but I must confess I have noticed it leak memory in the later versions. Saying that I do have 50+ tabs open at the same time usually. Not noticed it is significantly slow though.

I can't get on with Chrome and unfortunately IE will be a necessary evil due to certain sites I use for work only compatible with IE.

Could not agree enough! Firefox has become not the best over the last few months. I have gone back to Chrome and installed Ghostery on it :) Cheers guys.

You could always "reset" Firefox to see if that solves any problems you're having it. Waterfox is a good alternative and uses your Firefox profile.

I really like Waterfox on Windows. All the benefits of Firefox, but much faster.
Never tried waterfox but I'm similar to Theophany in that I use a firefox derivative called Palemoon (both x86 and x64). It seems faster and isn't visually turning into chrome either :)

run firefox in safe mode, and see if that website loads and how fast firefox is, if it all works fine, its likely an add-on causing problems or something you have changed.

Chrome / Firefox with Adblock plus and Ghostery and you should be fine.
I use Firefox personally but am equally happy with Chrome, the differences between them I find to be nothing more than cosmetic.

Export your bookmarks, then delete your Firefox profile, it's in.. %appdata%\Mozilla

Then start Firefox and import your bookmarks again, and install Addons, like Adblock Plus.

Chrome for me as it syncs nicely across work, home and mobile. But I use FF and IE11 a lot for testing in work and actually prefer the look and feel of IE now over FF, FF feels slow and bloated in comparison, never thought I would say that, but still love Firebug for JS debugging.

I actually prefer FF over IE,the new FF28 version seems faster then the old FF27 version so I'm happy,no issues so far.

I like FireFox, I do use Chrome but you need to ensure you block third party cookies, opt out of Google Analytics etc.

If you don't want to block third party cookies you can visit the guys below and opt out of a number of behavioural tracking networks. You have to do this on each device/browser obviously.

It's the mobile version of Chrome I don't like, no option to disable third party cookies. FireFox mobile is pretty cool and supports Adblock Plus which is very handy.
