Hey Guys,

I'm using mozilla firefox 3.0.2

I cleared my internet cache but when I go into the URL to type a domain name in, it shows all the sites I have been visiting, how can I delete all this so the URL field is completely blank when typing a new url in?

Also when I do a google search, in the search field it's still keeping everything I have searched for, how can I delete this all?

Lastly I have noticed recently and I don't know if it was from update to firefox but the google search box tries to find words to match what I am typing, how can I turn this feature off?

Kind regards

Many thanks

Forms data (fields) is different to internet cache in Firefox. You need to look in Tools > Clear Private Data and make sure Saved Form and Search History is ticked.

thanks for the reply

I have already done that many times today and on other days and it just doesn't seem to of made any difference.

The URL box will suggest from your bookmarks as well as your history.

Search suggestions (what appears when you type in the search box at the top right) has been there since Fx2 IIRC - you can disable it by clicking the Google icon -> Manage Search Engines and unchecking Show search suggestions.

While you're at it, upgrade to 3.0.3 already.

mate, you're pc is screwed, you need to follow all the tips from my other thread, you've got tons of spyware / viruses by the sounds of things

disable system restore
run..

ccleaner slim
nod32 antivirus trial (update it first)
spybot s&d (update it first)
avg antispyware (update it first)
malwarebytes (update it first)
hijackthis (and post the log file here)

use another pc to find those tools
