Good evening :)

I thought this may be the best place to post this. If I'm wrong, please direct me on wherr to put this. Thanks.

This issue has only happened two days ago. I'm currently with bt and have a HomeHub 5 as my router, with my pc using a tp-link USB adapter. My pc lost connection to the Internet, and 'forgot' the Password in the process. I didn't think much of it, so got the card with my router info on it and put in the password again. It tries to connect, and then tells me the password is incorrect. Its definitely not incorrect. This happened everything I tried. I turned off my router and pc many times. I tried connecting through the tp-link program and just through my normal network thing for Windows 10. It eventually worked after I uninstalled the tp-link program and tried a few more times to connect. It only worked by pressing the wps button on my router, something which had also failed repeatedly before.

Fast forward to the next day, and I accidentally knocked the plug and turned off the router :( The previous days problems have now come back. Thing is, I disconnected my phone and forgot the network, and then connected back on absolutely fine with the password provided. I've even gone into the router admin settings and changed the password, which also again works on my phone.

Neither of the two passwords are working on the pc. The Wps doesn't work as it just says it cant connect automatically and needs the password. Whenever I try to connect via windows and not the tp-link program, my adapter light goes out during the process, and the comes back on after it had failed to connect.

I'm completely lost on what to do next. I've had the adapter and pc working fine for years. I don't think I've missed out anything. I'm writing this on my phone, so excuse any typos or stuff like that.

Help? :(

Slight update.

My partner's ipad connects fine to our router using the new password I created. I also turned my phones data on, and made it into a WiFi hotshot. Pc connected absolutely fine to it, which has actually made my confusion even greater.

Genuinely dont understand what is happening with my router and pc now.

Reset the router and start from scratch with all new passwords if the issue persists and I'd disable WPS in the router settings too.
