So the other say i was playing the CoD:WaW Beta and all of a sudden the game crashed and my internet died on me. I tried to open up a website straight after and it wouldnt allow me, though i then tried some more which i did gain access to. I thought it was probably just needing a restart which i done, but when it came back online, nothing at all worked anymore.
I was playing about today, and basically when i open up the network and sharing centre it says theres no connection to the internet. If i click diagnose and repair, it then says its working fine and is connected to the net. But i try and open a browser or a game it says theres no connection.
Now the weird thing is, if i click on 'set up a connection or network' then 'connect to the internet' i can actually browse the internet (thats what im using atm) but again if i click on IE elsewhere, or msn or anything that requires internet connection, they dont seem to recognise theres a connection at all.
The router i use is a Linksys AG241 and i'm using vista.
I dont know a great deal about computers, but it is getting a connection, its just the rest of the computer doesnt seem to be aware of the fact.
If anyone would be able to shed some light on it, it would be greatly appreciated. I did phone my ISP, Be who thought my wires are dodgy, but surely if that was the case i wouldnt be on the internet now?
