Internet Connection Sharing

I'm trying to get my PC to share its WiFi internet connection with my raspberry pi but can't seem to get it working. I've tried ticking the allow others to use your connection box on the WiFi settings and selected the connection the pi is on but the pi can't seem to see the connection still

can anyone help?

How is the PC connected to the internet? Are you not using a router that broadcasts the wifi signal?

I am, but I don't have a wifi dongle for the pi so was hoping to use my PCs connection to avoid having to buy one, as well as a usb hub as the pi only has 2 usb ports
