Since i have upgraded my motherboard cpu and ram and reinstalled windows i am always running into problems with the internet youtube videos stop after a little while with a message saying error then i try downloading some programs and i get an error saying '*File* could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.' also games on steam just keep going to que and wont download also websites sometimes fail to load but my network is connected speed test online is all fine and other systems in the house work perfect

Just found out it allows me to download while im running a game which is connected to the internet this also happened with one game on steam when i was downloading a game from origin

You need to boot from the ISO/USB/Floppy image and it needs to do several passes which will take time. Expect to leave it to run for a few hours.

anyone know if this could have something to do with the HDD's? I got 2 Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive that are like 4-5 years old

Been running while I was in work it is still running now. The run time is at 10 hours and on there its got passes 5 fails 0. Will it stop testing when its done or just keep testing

If I open an online game which forces internet activity it allows me to use the internet as if there was no problem but I don't want to be doing that everyday

What are your proxy settings set to in Internet explorer?
Have you run Spybot?
Have you examined your hosts file?
Is this happening after a cold boot or do you just lock your pc?

Also, what is your make/model of router? Is it connected via wireless or network cable?
