I am having a problem with my pc in that when I fire up IE it does not usually open up the window. I can see the process IEXPLORE.exe running, but I get no window. I then usually have to launch IE a further 2 or 3 times to eventually get my first IE window, but then having 4 IE processes running.
When I then come to shutdown my computer I get the 'Internet Explorer not responding' message for each one of these hidden processes.
Any ideas on how to find out what is causing this or how to repair this?
The wierd thing is that this was happening with my old install and I have only just re-installed XP and have not installed that many apps yet, but I guess it must be conflicting with something somewhere?
