Internet Explorer (?) or network issues?

My machine (#1) can browse the internet just fine.

Machine #2, with the same network settings, has problems with some sites that my machine doesn't - ie: Hotmail.

Both machines connect through a Linksys WRT54GS 1.1 router (with latest firmware). They both have Windows XP Pro, Sygate and NOD32 installed.

I've tried ipconfig /flushdns, repairing the connecting in Network Connections, resetting IE's security and privacy settings to default - but still it refuses to load up Hotmail, while my machine can.

Any clues, or pointers?

I had the exact same problem with IE 7.
The only way I could get hotmail to load, was to open another IE window, keep loading google, refreshing the screen a few times, then in the other window load hotmail.

It got annoying and IE 7 got removed :)

Both machines are using IE6. Thinking I should reinstall it, to see if it makes any difference.

No proxy servers are being used, unless you count the router as one.

New browser is out of the question, for now.

I just find it strange #1 can access sites that #2 can't. Might just reinstall the machine.

Even if it isn't permanent, a different browser would at least show if it was an IE issue or not.

The sites that don't work, they wouldn't all happen to be sites that use SSL?
Same MTU on both machines (this should let you see what it is)?

Not sure if Hotmail uses SSL or not, but that is one of the sites. Will try the MTU later on, and report back.

In the meantime, still wide open to suggestions.
