Internet fine, wifi not working

I've got a Netgear WGR614v7 running the latest firmware. It's connected to a Virgin cable modem and I run an ethernet cable from this to my PC. The internet connection is fine but the wifi isn't showing - when using either my phone or netbook the network isn't showing as available.

I've just done a factory reset and it's still not showing as available. Any ideas?

Not used this particular router but check a couple of things.

Is Wifi enabled on the router? If not, turn it on
Is the router broadcasting? If not, then you'll need to setup the connection manually on the client (SSID, encryption type and passphrase / key) and then connect.

I went out for a bit after resetting it, and on my return it's now working fine. Strange.
