The last few days my sister has been unable to access the net.

The problems weird, the TalkTalk homepage loads partially (some images are missing), but any searches or attempts to access anything beyond the site come up "page not found", IP's don't work either.

I've confirmed her computers not the issue, the router appears to be fine (it's connected to the net), settings are fine and its been reset just in case. She's called TalkTalk a few times now and they've suggested the router maybe the problem (because it's not one if theirs , apparently). Its been used problem free for years but may have developed a fault.

Is the above likely to be caused by a faulty router, or anything else?

go to internet explorer
tools
internet options (justedited ;) )
connections
lan settings
and make sure automatically detect settings is ticked then apply and ok etc

Thanks for the response :)

I will certainly have a look at that, but the exact same thing happens on the Wii Internet browser so i'm not optimistic :/

Sorted now.

Turns out they had changed the direct debit back in March and the bank was rejecting the new one.

They've proper bloody annoyed me with this one, 3 months with no hint that they are owed money and it took several calls over 3 days for someone to notice the account was suspended.

Unbelievable!
