Internet Issues.

Hey guys, so because of a recent computer malfunction concerning Linux and it messing up my MBR and such, I had to re-install Windows.

After doing so and installing my drivers and such, I did a speedtest or two and now for some strange reason, I'm getting 3mb download and 4mb upload.

Prior to this, I was getting anywhere from 35-50mb. I have no idea what has happened.

Here are the images of both my Computer and University laptop.

Computer: (fastest it's been in the last two days).

Laptop: (Normal speeds).

Prior to this new installation everything was working perfectly. So :s.

My spec is below and the wi-fi card I'm using is the ASUS PCE-N53 300MBPS.
And also, I cannot attach myself to the router directly VIA: Ethernet.

Are you downloading any updates in the background?

Nope, nothing. Everything is exited and so on. all I have up is Chrome.

Transfer a few large files from your laptop to your desktop, and check the total download speed.

don't have that option, returned it to uni today.

Yeah, I asked my housemates and they're reported different speeds, but roughly around the 30-35mb+ area.

I just put my wifi card into a different slot and re-installed the drivers and its ranging from 15mb-20mb(if i'm lucky), i don't know what's causing this.
