Hello,

For a relative of mine i'm looking to build a cheap pc (max 350 quid)
He is using him for:

  • Office
  • E-Mail
  • Internet
  • Movies
  • Some crappy games (Bus driver etc.)

Since he already has a case, monitor, keyboard and mouse i'm looking for:

CPU
Motherboard
Memory (4gb)
Harddrive (200gb should do)
Graphics card
Power supply

This pc will be used for the next 5 years or something so maybe it's wise to pick a stand-alone graphics card over an onboard card?

Looking forward to some replies.

Best regards

Heres two options for you,

The Llano doesn't really need a graphics card as its onboard GFX core is equivalent to a £50 ATI card and it can play games at good details and resolution.

If your relative then adds a 6670/6570 later it can be combined together with the onboard GFX in a sort of Crossfire mode to boost performance again.

Thank you!

I forgot to mention i would rather stick with Intel based pc's.
Would it be a good choice to go with that i3+6670 or would it be better to just go with a Pentium G850 + some motherboard with onboard video
