hello all,

Have an issue with my internet.

I've got all green lights on the Dg834g - including the Adsl light. I login to the the router and under router status have a full screen and under connection status I appear to have the Internet. However, if i try to load a page it just hangs and doesnt do anything, my phone can't browse via wifi and the 360 won't connect to live.

I have manual DNS servers setup and a
login setup, nothing has changed. Yet all of a sudden this is happening. Ive checked the filters and there isnt any noise on the line. This to me screams DNS issue but if I switch the router to automatically detect DNS (like it
is for the IP) then it finds to, still states it is connected but is the same story otherwise.

Any ideas folks before I ring pipex tomorrow and virtually batter them with my keyboard I want to make sure I haven't missed anything obvious. And yes the router has been switched off and on :p

Thanks all in advance!

Definatly a DNS issue, before ringing customer support check on a Pipex forum to see if anyone else has the same issue.

Right, I couldn't get it to work all night. I'm now on hold for their "customer support" 8mins 34seconds so far.

Angry phone call to ensue, they cost me money last night. Just have to make sure I'm alpha enough...grrr...

EDIT:

Spoke to them after being on hold for 15 minutes and apparently they have experienced a major outage which is affecting several exchanges around the UK. He gave me some new DNS settings and asked me to try them and also said

Him: "when we try these if they work can you ring back and let me know?"
Me: "yeah sure"
Him: "Please do! if this solution works we can start using it for other people as well"

made me lol :p
