I've got this strange problem. Currently im using a Belkin F5D8636 but have had a problem with a bt home hub(white one).
The original problem i had with the bt hub was every so often the hub would loose internet connection and id normally have to restart the router to get internet back. i could normally access the router via ip tho.
I figured my hub was at fault and so i got a belkin from work.
This router is at a stupidly cheap price everywhere (i figured they were clearing stock but i'd imagine its because its a horrible router from experience).
Basically every so often (seems like several times a day) my internet / lan goes down. My pc says that its connected to the router (win 7 internet icon shows no error and the popup says connected internet access). I'm wired into the router. My brother suffers the same problem using wireless G on his laptop and his ps3.
If you try to ping the router it cant find it and cant access the routers config via ip in a browser. The router has all the usual lights on when this happens. We have to restart the router to fix it.
The router has the latest firmware and ive been through the options to see if anything could affect it but did not find anything.
Anyone have any idea where the problem lies. Is it with the router or maybe a device attached to the router?
