Folks

Just looking to gauge some.advice on the best way to secure the Pc for online use,

I have used a few in the past like Norton, avg, avast etc.
I also have mcafee which is included and free to use with my broadband provider.

Which is the best.in people's opinions

Best advice is don't visit strange looking sites.
Keep Windows up to date
Uninstall Flash and Java unless you really really need them.

I like browsing in Firefox and Chrome with the 'Adblock Plus' addon. It blocks 99% of adverts and blocks many malware sites.
