Internet suffering from sun stroke...

Same here, router stats shows I've been connected since last router reboot, so it must be something on their end again. I'm already using Google's DNS servers so it's not a DNS issue.

Issues with BT Core NAP interconnects in Telehouse North are affecting all IP call services this morning. BT engineers are on site to resolve. Our current information about this is not detailed but we believe there has been a power failure in a BT datacentre that will affect a lot of things.

I have been monitoring Down Detector@ http://downdetector.co.uk/problems/bt-british-telecom/ watching the thousands of reports come in real-time.

Some reports we have noticed have stated that they have received a phone call supposedly from BT and hanging up shortly after.

This is a prime time for criminals, not just cyber, to start making phone calls to random people posing as a BT engineer or other member of staff. For example, you may receive a call stating your bank account details are out of date - with the criminal asking for your bank details over the phone in order to reactivate your BT Broadband.

Keep an eye on Down Detector for live reports from nationwide customers.

Having issues here too, a few sites will load up - BBC News, Ebay main page (but refusing to load 'My eBay' pages) but almost all others I use refuse to work.

Annoying as I switched on the wife's PC this morning to print something for her and couldn't load any websites. So I mucked about for an hour trying to see if it was the stupid powerline adapters playing up and got nowhere and now I can't get them to work at all. Wish I had looked online on my own PC first and found that BT were having a meltdown. :(

Latest I have -

BT power problems are affecting lots of services
Our current information about this is the following: Due to a power incident at Telehouse North (London) IP Exchange Direct Access has been severely impacted since 07.45 this morning. Engineers are currently onsite attempting to resolve the issue.

love the virgin adverts plastered all over my speedtest. Yeah yeah, rub it in. I wouldn't be with BT if virgin was an option. arsehats (again).

nothing was working this morning bar google play music and teamviewer, weirdly.

This is exceptionally bad, even for BT, but i'm so so fed up with them now.

I've literally not had an issue with BT for years to be honest.

Yeah, they should definitely have redundancy at their primary sites, but it's more common than you think for ISPs not to have redundancy at that level..

I've been using Google's DNS servers since the issues yesterday (4.4.4.4 and 8.8.8.8) instead of BT's, but this morning, some sites have been very slow.
