Internet Timing out, Extremely slow

So my internet has started going extremely slow after i changed my router because of this issue

Now all of a sudden my internet just times out, i dont think its the cable since i ping to the router is fine, any help please?

Possibly this issue with recent windows updates ? Try doing:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

to force a DHCP refresh.

Google DNS (8.8.8.8) is doing the same for me although my Internet seems okay.

Try pinging 8.8.4.4 (also Google) or bbc.co.uk. They're both okay for me.

I just tried swapping my primary/secondary DNS so that 8.8.4.4 is the primary. It does seem to have made some difference, maybe 8.8.8.8 is having issues at the moment.

AFAIK Google throttle ping traffic to their DNS services so it's not a reliable endpoint to use to deciding whether your connection is up or not.

Ok any other issue of why id have a problem just after changing router, and i dont have windows 10

changed my router from a hub 6 to a hub5 (BT) and it all seems to be running good, i think i might have just expreienced it when i first changed will report back if problems
