interview in hotel??

I have had an interview at a hotel before. It was actually a first/screening interview, then a second interview was held on the business premises.

I used to interview people in Hotels all the time. It's often easier to do them there, so you can meet a few in that town. Especially if your offices aren't based in that town too.

Hotels are 2nd nature within IT consultancy a lot of the time, its nothing special or different. Perhaps the company office isnt local, available, etc.

Context is everything.

I had an interview for a large defense firm in a hotel conference room, probably easier to meet there than vet everyone for site clearance.

I have interviewed people in hotels on many occasions. It is often easier if you are interviewing people to replace other people to do it off site as well, especially in a smaller company.

Lots of interviews are held in hotels. Very doubtful they will be in a hotel room. hotel's are popular for meetings. Especially Hiltons and the like

I had an interview in a hotel for an engineer job in wales. As the company was in Leeds, it made more sense.

Similar thing here, except the work was in Leeds, and the agency from manchester or something. So they were interviewing candidates from inside a hotel.

I'd say it isn't the norm but would not right the job off at this point. :o
